Some companies are offering a 'windows scrappage' scheme which offers householders money back when they buy new windows. Be careful - this is not a government-backed scheme, but rather a marketing ploy that is, in effect, another way to offer a discount off what is probably an inflated list price.
Warmlite supports the official campaign by the GGF (Glass and glazing federation), which is lobbying parliament to introduce a scheme that would reward home owners for replacing older inefficient single- and double-glazed windows with modern, warm, energy-efficient windows. The GGF hopes to get 10,000 signatures on their petition. You can sign up too at http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/windowscrappage/.
